With each new villain fight, Peter gets more hurt; and Harry's distrust towards Spiderman grows, forcing a ridge between them. What kind of superhero fails to keep innocent people out of harm's way?
( slight au where peter's regeneration ability isn't as strong, and so the bruises and injuries take longer to heal )

TO CATCH A THIEF After being bitten by a genetically engineered spider, young Peter Parker finds that he now has incredibly enhanced strength, speed and agility. It is an ongoing process of grief. Making matters worse is the fact that Mary Jane Watson is no longer in his life. The struggle was real when it came to keeping a secret identity. Especially when the identity was kept from a group of superheroes made up of a retired agent, a retired assassin, a retired super-assassin, a super soldier, a couple military men, some geniuses and a literal god. Peter thought he would be able to keep his name and face away from the spotlight until he was at least old enough to drink. He hoped that his Parker Luck would hold out until his twenty-first birthday, maybe even past that. But a villain crawling out of the woodwork and a couple of life-threatening injuries were quick to change his plans. Hopefully, he could just flash those Bambi eyes and get it over with.
