The small coastal village of Lakeview has always been a point of curiosity in Arcadia. The people were secluded and secretive. The only people who had left were never seen again.
15-year-old Jaylyn Wood has always been curious about the river.
The legends told that the River - which surrounded the village - reached out and drowned any person who tried to escape.
However, for fear of the river, she has never crossed outside of the village borders.
When her best friend, Lucy, goes missing, will Jaylyn be able to summon the courage to cross over the river to save her friend, or will Lucy be gone forever?
