Caleb's life was pretty normal. If you ignored the fact that his dad was barely making enough for Caleb to continue going to school, and paying for their crappy apartment room. And how often times they had to make the choice of food, or electricity and water.
But he was still fine with it. He loved his dad, and knew that his dad loved him back. And despite their hard living situations, they both tried their best to make it work.
So Yeah, he was happy.
But then classification day came.

Unexpected
[ABANDONED} About 50 years ago, society began accepting regression.
