Derek's new hobby of disappearing every Thursday was pissing everyone off. Well actually only Raf was pissed off. Everyone else seemed to be drowning in an indescribable anxiety as though they had actually cared about him before all this. The constant questions from strangers on where now regrettably best friend went finally pushed Raf and so the stalking began.

For multiple months, the main character has been hiding themselves from this boy, Tal, because they've been scared of what Tal may think of them. After a while of waiting and hiding, Tal finally notices the main character and automatically falls in love with them; they had love at first sight. Slowly this major change affected the main character, their everyday life, and experiences they haven't had before. Their friends leave them and the main character is left with Tal and a few of his friends.
