Ellis Shire moves to Hawkins, Indiana after a tragedy shifts the entire way she sees life. Getting into constant fights with her mom and fighting with nightmares makes life hell. A miserable lonely hell. Until Ellis meets a girl named Max Mayfield who makes her question everything. Who makes her heart beat quicken and her palms clammy, but this girl has secrets that Ellis makes the mistake of getting involved in.
A/N: I feel like I should clarify some details since this is a Stranger Things fanfic and obviously not my own original story. The story starts off in Season 3 during the summer of 1983. I'm going to try and keep the storyline realistic to the 80s as much as I can, but if you notice that I accidentally mess up on slang, fashion, etc just politely let me know :). Also I'm aware that Max in the actual series is not gay, however this fanfic is showing her as wlw. If you have a problem with that you're welcome to find a different story :).
