Why the Doom of Valyria occurred had been a mystery to all across Essos and Westeros, apart from the Maeralys family, Sovereigns of Mantarys, Tolos and Elyria. Three city-states in the northeastern reach of the Valyrian peninsula. 

Currently ruled by a Queen of 8 and 10 and her three elder siblings, they are a well-hidden secret to all across the Narrow Sea, including House Targaryen. 

Having been granted a power only known before the eruption of the Fourteen Flames, Selaena finds herself in Westeros, turning the tide of the Dance of Dragons and wearing a golden crown she had once seen in a dream.
