Only an heir of Gallel can wield the Ball of Lights, an ancient and powerful crystal sphere lost to time. It holds the key to either stopping or freeing a powerful demon, depending on the intent of the wielder. This demon, Tavaris, is intent on bringing utter peace to the world, an end to all war and pain... but at the expense of individual thought and reason.

Canúden is a commoner, bright, but with no special power, yet a mage with the ability to sense potential sees that he will stand against the most powerful and ruthless prime mage in the world, whose life has been spent to serve and then free Tavaris from the Void. She needs only to usurp the heir of Gallel, and to find the Ball of Lights, to accomplish her goal.

Dylin, the mother of the heir, wishes only to protect her daughter from the anguish of an inevitable forced marriage.

The Forsaken Heir

8 parts Ongoing Mature

Lorian Aeloria has spent his life striving to live up to the legacy of his noble family. As the firstborn son, the weight of expectation has always been heavy on his shoulders. Despite lacking the magical prowess his family is known for, Lorian has devoted himself to mastering the sword, determined to prove his worth through sheer will and discipline. But no matter how hard he tries, Lorian remains overshadowed-by his sister's brilliance, by his father's disdain, and by a nagging sense that he will never be enough. The closer he gets to his sixteenth birthday, the more uncertain his future becomes, as old family secrets and hidden powers begin to surface. When a series of unexpected events shatters everything he thought he knew, Lorian is forced to question his place in the world and the very foundation of his family's legacy. As he grapples with newfound abilities and the harsh realities of a life far from the one he envisioned, Lorian must forge his own path-one that may lead him down a dark and dangerous road. In a world where power is everything, Lorian is determined to rise above his circumstances, even if it means embracing the shadows that lurk within.
