How can one night of helping a "friend" lead Roman down a web of hierarchy, gangs, lies, pain, and a risky romance that is looked upon as undesirable?

Roman King is a 24-year-old troublemaker still living at home with his abusive father and drugged-up mother. Growing up in poverty, he never even thought of being anything more than a delinquent. Getting mixed up in gang activity, among other things. One night, when he is conned to sneak into a high-end club, he never thought that his life would change as much as it did.
With the job going sideways, Roman is attacked by the "friend" who brought him there and left to deal with the person his "friend" killed.
Attacked and on his own, Roman must find a way to fix this mess, but when he is faced with 2 choices by the owner of the bar; help him take down his friend's gang or go to Prison for murder, he realizes he's fucked.
With no other choice, he decides to work for none other than Beau Harpington. Little did he know this choice would bring him face to face with an underlying web of two once-thought-fictional species; werewolves and vampires.
