The life of multi-billionaire and superhero Tony Stark has never been simple. And when he once again is forced to realize where exactly he stands within society (awfully close to the greatest consulting detective of the previous century, Sherlock Holmes, unfortunately) things do most certainly not get any simpler. Instead, everything that he has been dealing with gets only more difficult.
His secrets have secrets, it feels like, and he has been firmly holding on to them for quite some time now. It scares him to death (or, well, you know, it would have scared him to death if he had been actually able to die) when his secrets start to threaten to fall out of his arms and into the unknowing hands of his team mates.
He does not want them to know. He does not NEED them to know that his past has been haunting him, that it does not want to leave him alone. An old flame drives him to madness, blinds him for an ancient danger that has gotten closer to him than ever before.
Soon, the past will catch up with the present, and Tony is not sure if he will live to tell the tale.
