Azur Lane: The warship that got away

It is 2025, the civil war in the Hauku islands has been going on for about two years with different factions fighting to maintain control of the capital and the two biggest islands.

The National Liberation Navy-North is one of the five biggest factions in the northern Hauku islands, maintaining one of the largest non-state fleets in the Hauku Sea. Unfortunately, their fleet is reduced to offshore patrol vessels and fast attack crafts, which are no match for some of the other enemy fleets. As a result, their attacks are reduced to convoy interceptions, air defense and surprise attacks.

One day, the fast attack craft NLNNS Atarangi is on patrol near the the Nikau island, intercepting enemy patrol boats and attacking enemy positions at the coast when all of a sudden it receives the order to intercept an enemy vessel on the other side of the island. As soon as it approaches the enemy vessel, a mysterious storm of unknown origin begins to manifest around the vessel, transporting it to the world of Azur Lane. It is not the only one though. The NLNSS Atahwai, an offshore patrol vessel belonging to the National Liberation Navy-South, has also been transported in the same world and is eager to hunt down and sink Atarangi once and for all.

How will the the WW2 warships react to the presence of modern high tec vessels? Will the two modern warships set their differences aside and join the fight against the alien threat known as the Sirens?
