Excerpt :
The stream of light falling through the window of the astronomy tower shined through his hair giving it a ghostly beautiful glow.
Silence fell over the two. A kind of gentle lull which neither of them disturbed for a while.
He felt strange, not about being there with her. But about the way he felt in her presence. He felt soothed. There was a serene air to her that he had begun to notice.
He didn't feel this way besides his colleagues.
There was never any quietness that felt comfortable like with her. Even more, his responses and actions always had to be calculated in a manner. Any friends he kept around were instruments, as he were to them.
Finally he spoke.
"Why don't you keep any friends?"
"I have friends"
"lies"
"..."
"What if we... Do want us to be friends?"

Description :
Winter Ellis, a halfblood witch who thought herself to be an ordinary eleven year old, wanted nothing more than to be sucked into one of her favorite storybooks.
On the wintery morning of her eleventh birthday she finds a letter addressed to her name that she had been accepted into Hogwarts, a school of witchcraft and wizardry.
At first thought to be a practical joke, soley because the letter had been brought in by an owl, her whole world as she knows it is turned upside down when she finds out that it was all real; the school and the letter (and Minerva McGonagall Deputy Headmistress).
Finnick Silverstein, Pureblood, Slytherin, filthy rich, put them all together and you have an attractive, but mainly arrogant male protagonist.
Even so, he might be willing to make some changes when he makes acquaintances with a certain Hufflepuff.
