"His name is Chris... He was my best friend. Key word: Was. He was also my first love... I wish I can forget him, but I find that it's impossible." -Hazel Gilbert Everyone tries to distract Hazel from the big picture, her past. Sometimes they succeed, but she never stops thinking about him... Being stuck in the past means she can never move on. The answer to this problem... Find someone else? Try to forget? Or just give up? (This story is written by a few of my closest friends and myself. We try to switch POV's, but it usually focus's on Hazel Gilbert...) *Cover by @vscomatthew

What would you do if the person you loved most in the world forgot who you were just hours after you professed your love for each other? Meet Julie. She has just realized she is in love with her best friend from high school and has decided to tell him. She decided to drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco to surprise him and tell him the truth. It was all going so well. She confessed that she had always been in love with him and he said he loved her too. They were supposed to meet after his shift, but everything changes when the love of her life sustains a brain injury and doesn't remember her at all. Meet Riley. He has been working at Denny's and taking classes for his Master's in Psychology for three years when his best friend from high school surprises him at work in San Francisco. He has always been in love with her; from the moment he first set eyes on her. He was thrilled to know she loved him back and he meant it when he said he would meet her after his shift, but a robbery gone awry changed everything and he no longer recognizes the girl he has loved since he was 14. Will Riley ever remember Julie? Can Julie hold onto hope long enough for him to remember? What if he never remembers? How will Julie survive without his love? Can Riley find his way back to Julie before it's too late? Will they ever have their happily ever after?
