Nico works night shifts at a 24/7 coffee shop by himself since nights are slow. He's also full-time at college, when he's 'working', he has the opportunity to do homework; however, he prefers to just read.
He never told people about his sexuality (for personal reasons) until it was suddenly revealed in front of one person: his acquaintance, Jason. Not even Nico's sister knew yet, but now he is forced to deal with this friend of a friend, who knows his secret.
At work one night, he and his mythology book are interrupted by someone actually coming into the shop. Who could need a coffee at midnight?
Midnight Coffee shares its storyline with my book Coffee at Midnight, these are written to play with different perspectives in storytelling. Midnight Coffee was written first, is told strictly from Nico's perspective, and has a cast of Percy Jackson characters. Coffee at Midnight is told strictly from Will's perspective, has a cast of Magnus Chase characters, and includes bonus scenes between the two.
These stories are set in a world with no gods or demigods. Will and Nico were both born in the mid-90s (this story is set in 2015).
These are fanfiction based on the Percy Jackson franchise. All characters are owned by Rick Riordan.

Nico diAngelo didn't really have a problem with moving, he just continued his life how it was before. Writing, listening to music, sitting in the back of the classroom, making sure not to get too close to anyone, and maybe falling asleep in class. Also spending half of his energy keeping himself from falling apart. That is, until he met Will. Will was like medicine for his heart. When Will held his hand, it felt as if he could relax and let go of his troubles, but when he had to let go, that was something he wasn't ready for, causing to have meltdowns for the first time in a long time. Will had been living a rather boring life in his town, same faces, same friends, he wanted change. When the new boy was in some of his classes at the start of the new school year, Will couldn't help but be curious after seeing the same faces almost all of his life. He was drawn to him in some way he couldn't describe, and couldn't help falling for him as they spent more time together. This book has characters that are created by Rick Riordan, yet there are a few, like Nico's father which is a small character that I created. This book has come from my own imagination, and if it seems that parts of the plot are from another story, that is entirely coincidental.Complete
