It was chaos in the universe, Blake Hoskins, the Torquoise Lantern and the creator of the Torquoise Lantern Core and also the rings, Blake already worked for the Justice League where earned a truce and friendship with a  Green Lantern named John Stewart. Now things would become chaotic during the events of the war between Lantern Corps. But Blake had a developed relationship with Laira, a former Red Lantern who later saved by one of Blake's Torquoise Lantern Rings and she became the new Torquoise Lantern.
