Was I Sorted Into the Wrong House?

My name is Autumn Gryffindor, a descendant from Godric Gryffindor. I live in England with my family and I just turned eleven. I was going to go to Hogwarts. I was excited to continue my family's legacy of being placed in Gryffindor.

When the time finally came, my mother and I gathered all of the things I would need and I was on the train heading to Hogwarts. I was siting alone in one of the compartments because nobody wanted to sit with me because of my special ability. I can control elements among other things without using a wand.

The only one in my family who had this ability, was my very great-grandfather Godric Gryffindor. But I didn't fit in with anyone, they all called me a freak because of my ability, except for The Boy Who Lived, aka Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley.

We've been best friends since we were kids and after Harry's parents were killed by You Know Who, my family and I immediately took him in. My mother was friends with his mother, and she knew how horrible his aunt and uncle and his cousin were to his mother, she felt he didn't need to be raised with that.

When we finally got to the castle, we were going to be sorted into our houses. I was excited, I knew I was going to be in Gryffindor. "Autumn Gryffindor?" McGonnall called me up. I sat underneath the hat, and waited to be placed in Gryffindor.

"Slytherin!"

What, Slytherin? This has to be a mistake, was I sorted into the wrong house?
