Project Splendor is a new short horror story of mine, following a girl named Anthea Rowle (codenamed Splendor, or, to use the full name, Project 01-SPLENDOR) in a false version of Denver, where the apocalyptic Splendor virus has taken its toll on the people inside. However, Anthea displays an uncalled-for immunity to the virus and has gained very strange abilities indeed... abilities that classify her as a possible world-ending Weapon of Mass Destruction.

|WATTYS 2022 WINNER - HORROR| Shawn, a convicted criminal, never thought she'd see the sun again, let alone call another star system her home. When she's offered an out from her prison sentence, she embarks on a dangerous interstellar expedition along with 18 of Earth's most intelligent criminals. Their task is to set up a base on a supposedly habitable planet and prepare it for colonization. This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Charlotte wants nothing to do with Nate or the girl who looks like her dead sister. She does not want to go through the grief of losing people again if something bad was to happen. And something bad does happen when Emmi is kidnapped, and it is no one's fault but Charlotte's. Through this obligation alone, Charlotte feels like it is her responsibility to get Emmi back, to right her wrong. In helping Nate pursue his kidnapped daughter, Charlotte inadvertently allows herself to feel again, to care for those other than herself. Night Fall Virus: When The Sun Died Season 1
Los Angeles, California, has always been a beacon of excitement. For over a century, it's been the lively heart of Hollywood, filled with dreams and glitzy streets, red carpets welcome visitors on Hollywood Boulevard. The Walk of Fame sparkles under the warm sun, which seems to shine brighter here than anywhere else. Music flows from Sunset Strip clubs, laughter can be heard in Beverly Hills mansions, and cameras click to capture unforgettable moments. Life here is fast paced and energetic. But then the Night Fall Virus hit, spreading faster than anyone could prepare for, the city fell eerily silent. The virus changed human biology in unexpected ways, infected individuals didn't exactly die, their hearts kept beating, albeit slowly and erratically, and they continued to breathe. Their minds were wiped clean, leaving only a basic urge to feed, they were no longer people, just shadows of the lively artists, tourists, and locals who once roamed the streets. Important Note: This story features intense scenes with graphic violence, body horror, and psychological distress. These elements aren't simply for shock value, they're designed to evoke fear and explore human resilience, prompting readers to confront challenging truths about survival and morality.
