School's a total nightmare, and things at home with mom are a hot mess ever since dad passed away. Just when you're about to throw in the towel, you wake up in a hospital room, and to your shock, your dad's right there with you, but nothing makes sense with the memories you keep. Before you can even process this bizarre reunion, you and your dad are victims of an attempted kidnapping, you being rescued by 4 mutant turtle brothers, who offer to help you find your father. As you get to know them better, you find yourself drawn into their world while trying to understand what's going on with your memories. Little do you know, there's more to your connection with these heroes than meets the eye. Eventual MC x Donatello relationship. A remake of Donatello and April's original relationship dynamic, but slow burned and unrushed, so they can build a true friendship before discovering that either of them have feelings for the other. --------------- I always felt like Donnie crushin' on April in the show was a bit off, especially 'cause she never felt the same way and it felt kind of forced. Chatted with my sis 'bout this ongoing plot in the series, and it hit me - the show could've been way cooler if April and Donatello had a tighter connection, giving 'em both the character development they deserved. Figured I had nothin' to lose, so this's what came outta that chat. Hope you dig it! First time putting words on paper, fingers crossed it ain't too shabby. Plus, English isn't my first language, so sorry if the phrasing is a bit off. Just in case, I'll mention neither TMNT 2012 or the fanart used for the cover are mine. New York City isn't the safest place with a rather high crime rate. But it's the state of opportunity. When a 15 year old named Y/N moves to New York with their family, they have a hard time adjusting to the new city life after having lived in a small town their whole life. With their parents' new jobs they have no choice but to comply and leave their old life behind. When Y/N gets into some basic city trouble with some not-so-nice mutants and yokai, they end up meeting a team of turtles and one seems to catch their eye. Red becomes their new favorite color and they get to know the group and make some new friends. While intimidating at first, the biggest of the four is a real sweetheart. Y/N can feel themself falling but refuses to believe it. Will the mutate ever like them back? Will Y/N except it? (it starts off kind of slow, with a bit of character build up, but I promise it'll get going around chapter 2-3! I am going to try and not have to many things that make people mad, like authors notes everywhere, bad grammar, etc. I am trying my best to keep updates constant! I DO TAKE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM!
