Isla yarrow, a young woman taken in by a community after being out in the open world after two long years. Her mom, Francine yarrow, has dementia but sticks close to her daughters side not knowing of anything else to do. When she meets Daryl Dixon and the group he is a part of her life changes dramatically. She sees more death and even has to kill herself to become a survivor. That's what you have to do in a world like this. Acushla comes from the Irish Gaelic cuisle, which can mean 'darling' but more literally means 'pulse' or 'vein'. It's an adaptation of the Irish Gaelic a cuisle (oh darling). Cuisle was also sometimes paired with ma to give us macushla (my darling). "Isla do you know why Rick picked you?" Abraham asks watching me. I shake my head no staring straight at the road as my other hand grips the steering wheel tightly. "He picked you because you're strong. You know what you're doing and you've dealt with things like this before. He picked you because he knew you could handle it. So get your shit together. Throw on some big girl panties and do it. Be the woman we all know you can be." Abraham says.

Despite her rocky upbringing, Juniper Dixon strives to be kind to all things, even those who are not kind to her- except for the dead. She didn't really fit in at school or at home, but she supposes that doesn't really matter, now that the dead are walking. All that matters is that she keeps breathing. At least, that's what her dad says. • ⚠️ This book has mature themes such as EDs and abuse, with slight mentions of sa and suicide. They aren't constant and they're not nearly as intense as they are in Future Ghosts, but they are there. ⚠️ If there are any typos/errors, please don't hesitate to point them out so I can fix them! Comments are appreciated! Enjoy!
