Grace McAllister is in his fifth year at Hogwarts when the consequences start to catch up with him. Growing up with queer hippie parents in the sixties, he'd always been taught to be yourself no matter what. And when he'd realized at age twelve that he was meant to be a boy, his parents had supported him. The right strings had been pulled at school and he'd been able to transition fairly smoothly.

He wasn't particularly well known within the school, his group of friends was close-knit and small. All of these factors meant that he'd been able to sneak by unnoticed for the first few years of his transition.

Now, he was fifteen, starting his most difficult year at Hogwarts, and for whatever reason, he'd been chosen as the new target of humiliation by Slytherin's loudest pair of assholes. Barty and Evan had never paid Grace any attention before, but now, it was like a game of cat and mouse. And Gracie felt like he was drowning.
