Sheltered in Lys and with a maester as her chronicler, she describes from her point of view her experience as Daeron Targaryen's peculiar wife in a revolutionised court, as well as her role as 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫's lover and confidant.

At first, I thought my pride and the grudge I held against my brother for marrying me into a Targaryen would be enough to keep me from getting involved in feelings. But then I met him, 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞, and before I knew it, I had been dragged into a tragedy that was not my own.
