Tragedy strikes. The queen is dead, and the king must remarry to secure the lineage in case the madness does consume his only living son.

It does. Prince Jaehaerys, only son to King Viserys I and Queen Aemma Arryn, flees the capital in outrage and grief, renouncing his claim to the Iron Throne and shattering the realm.

With no heir, the king calls upon Princess Rhaenyra to take his place.

It's been nine years since the prince has been seen. And while the king and his advisors believe they have resolved the inheritance crisis, a new issue arises with the two children Jaehaerys left behind.

Twins Daedre and Vyktar Targaryen care not for their father's return but yearn for the titles and honor he's denied them. The two, growing up amidst harsh politics, they separately seek recognition, power, and love.

I saw the trailer for House of the Dragon season 2 and it just broke my heart how devastated Rhaenyra look. Since I know a lot of what will happen because I read the books. I decided I wanted to write them a happy ending. 😊 This is part of the Dragon's Heir universe. The Gods realize that the Targaryens are about to kill each other, especially after Lucerys's death. They have seen the way Rhaenyra's heart has harden and they want to save them from making more mistakes. The Gods decide to sent Daemon, Rhaenyra and Aemond to another world so they can see there is another path that can be followed. One that does not have to end in death and destruction. All three of them are sent to meet the Dragon's Heir and a different way of life.
