Like her mother, Princess Visenya Velaryon had grown closer with her uncle Aemond. The two children would often sneak away from their duties to play with the wooden swords Aemond had stolen for the Princess, or lay outside of the dragon pit watching as the creators of their house flew around, or sometimes they would sit in the gardens with the rest of the new generation of Velaryon and Targyern, sitting next to each other and often the of two children would lay their head on the others shoulder and drift to sleep grasping onto each other's hand. But as they grew up, the feelings they had for each other grew into something more, Aemond growing protective over Visenya and glaring at any lord or prince that would come her way at balls wanting a dance, wanting nothing more for his mother and father to agree to the Princess Rhaenyra proposal of marriage between the two. When the two were ripped apart from each other after a mishap about a claiming of a dragon and the loss of an eye, the two of them thought the other would forget about them. They would not be there to keep each other safe, and the fire they had burning within them would slowly be snuffed out. Aemma Velaryon was born on a cold night in King's Landing as the daughter of Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon. Born barely a year after her brother Lucerys, she was very different than her brothers. Not only was Aemma like her mother, quick to anger and rarely forgot a sly remark, but she also appeared as Targaryen as her mother. Aemma was born with fine silver-blonde hair and dark purple eyes. Despite the attempt at discretion, Aemma heard the whispers of her being Rhaenyra's only legitimate child with Laenor Velaryon. But despite her appearance, Aemma was just as much a bastard as her brothers. Aemma never shared her secret, even with her brothers, especially as tensions in King's Landing ramped up. Despite her position and being the only daughter to the heir of the Iron Throne, Aemma was no highborn lady. Aemma was outspoken, stubborn, and determined to be a fighter and dragon rider. Aemma grew up with a close bond with her dragon. The she dragon was black as night and was named Ebrior for her coloring. But Aemma's demeanor made her a constant target for the court and her step-grandmother, Queen Alicent Hightower. But Aemma knew how to stay hidden in King's Landing. Growing up in King's landing meant that one always had to be cautious, especially with snakes in green lurking around the corner. Read A War of Wings to see what happens to Aemma and her family.
