His eyes stared right into mine, sending shivers down my spine. A smile appears on his face as he sticks his arm out toward me. "Friends?" Friends. That's all we ever were. Just friends. I feel a pang in my heart as I return the smile and shake my arm with his. "Friends." He stares at the floor as he lets out a small laugh.
"To the moon and back?" He jokes, his eyes still on the ground as we let our hands down. It sends me flashbacks from Seventh grade. I feel tears stinging my eyes. But it's not like he will notice it because he is staring at the ground. I quickly wiped my tears as I laughed at the joke. "To the moon and back".
