Warrior Cats - Nectarsplash's Decision

When Nectarkit learned she came from a long line of SunClan's strongest warriors, there was a lot of pressure put on her to follow in their footsteps. Especially when her father pushes his dreams of becoming a leader onto her. However, StarClan had other plans for the young she-cat. When their medicine cat Oatfur received an omen, she is forced to decide between her religion and her family. What would you choose?

I started conceptualizing Nectarsplash on November 27th, 2020. I created two character concepts for her before finalizing the design on December 22nd, 2020.
Normally, I don't share my characters or stories. However, on November 29th, 2021, I introduced Oatfur, one of the characters who support Nectarsplash. I was surprised at how many people loved this character & the lore of the story, and people started to talk about what they'd do if they had to make these difficult decisions.
From that day forward, I decided to dedicate myself to this project, and write about what it feels like to become so wrapped up in what other people want, you begin to lose that sense of who you truly want to be. I wanted to write a story that people can not only relate to but can use as a lens to understand what people like me have gone through.
On November 8th, 2022, after two years of planning & conceptualizing, I started writing this novel. My goal is to finish this novel by the end of 2023 and eventually make this story into a webcomic.
