The fact that Anna and Jakes friendships evolved after Anna punched Jake in preschool for touching her favorite colors is besides the point though. These two have been through so much more than that. Anna was there for him through his mom and dads divorce, and there again after his moms sudden death. Jake was there for Anna through her silly depression over not having any female friends. At least Jake thought it was silly. Regardless the two have never fought since Anna physically punched him for using her favorite colors at play time in preschool.
