this is based off an au I made recently
as chaos slowed in it's tracks after the death of dark enchantress, the cookies of darkness sheltered in the cacao kingdom to repent for their crimes, but a storm rises from the east and the golden kingdom is evacuated and a meeting for all remaining kingdoms follows after
as the kings and queens discuss what could of happened, a new cookie walks in and watches the arguments and disagreements, cacao and pure vanilla are the only ones silent during it all, and the only ones to see the new cookie enter

An AU where Espresso was raised with the Cookies Of Darkness. Since he was merely a child, Espresso's one and only desire was to prove his worth to Dark Enchantress, his mother. He and his siblings were taught to despise the Vanilla Kingdom and its inhabitants, sparking an endless war between the light and the dark. Madeleine is a paladin of the Divines, the Vanilla Kingdom's knight commander and savior, and almost immediately he is intrigued by the coffee mage on the opposing side. He is convinced that good exists in Espresso's heart, along with the hopes that he'll join them. A violent circumstance leads to Espresso being captured and held within the castle walls of the Vanilla Kingdom with no magic and nobody to help him. But of course, this was all but a great opportunity for Madeleine to persuade the stubborn mage into leaving the Cookies of Darkness behind. Against his liking, Espresso had no other choice but to play along for now. All he had to do was keep up the charade and not get attached. Another PureCacao Story
Since I've seen so many stories off my favorite ship, I have been inspired to write my own. It might not be 100% accurate but I will try to make it a good story to read. Most of the story is based off of the game, so if you haven't played Cookie Run: Kingdom, I recommend playing the game first! (At least get past Episode 14 in World Exploration) A bit of the story is my head cannon, so it's more interesting, but most of it's just based off what I think about the two. {Just a heads up, I will not be writing any sexual stuff or smut, because I see too much of it anyway so read a different fanfic if you want sexual content or smut please.} I think Pure Vanilla and Dark Cacao Cookie would be more wholesome and romantic than all that other crap, sorry about that.
