"This won't work out Thomas, you're going to be big! You're meant to explore the world, meet people, and fix things! I'm nothing more than a baker! I spend my days in a kitchen baking cakes and biscuits!" Sarah cried, finally breaking down.
"We'll make it work! We're meant to be!" He said, tears threatening to fall out his sad emerald eyes.
"Please don't make this harder than it has to be Tommy." She cried, placing her small hand on his cheek.
"But I love you Sarah!" He screamed, squeezing her hand.
"And I you Tom, but it's for the best." She sniffled, pecking his cheek.
"Don't do this Sarah." He whispered, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close.
"You have so much more you need to accomplish Tom. I'm nothing more than a distraction and a liability. Maybe we could try again in a few years. I'll wait for you to do what has to be done. I love you Thomas Shelby." She said softly, giving him one last kiss.
"I need you. Don't go." He muttered into her lips, his eyes closed.
"Goodbye Thomas." She whispered, pulling away and walking away.
He stood still, watching as she walked away. Was this really happening? He immediately tried to call out for her, begging her to stay. She listened as he called for her. She listened as he begged her to stay, her heart breaking and aching with every call.
It was too late, she couldn't let him give up his dreams for her. She knew if they remained together she would be the reason he eventually wished he would've done more. Though she felt her heart heavy and broken, she eventually reached her home, closing and locking the door behind her.
It had to be done.
A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world.
The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
