After a mutual divorce between him and his wife, Jacob Kowalski is independently running his bakery business. While he was enjoying the solitude, he had started to become increasingly lonely. That's when he makes his best and worst mistake, inviting over his old friend, Newt. Newt's never been much of a people person, and he certainly could never see himself becoming one. His friendship with Jacob was one of the only he ever truly had. He knew that he would enjoy his stay, even if it may be awkward.
