Seventeen-year-old senior Everly Hope Rodgers wants nothing more than a normal year after the traumatic events that took place right before summer vacation.
The hope for normal is short lived as her parents have uprooted her and moved a state away and thrust into a big city and enrolled her into a pretentious private school. Unfortunately for her, news of the events that took place had been broadcasted nationwide, and she's left the outsider with a dark past with people hiding from her around every corner.
Finally coming to terms with the horrific series of events that nearly left her dead, Everly finds sanctuary in her eccentric art teacher and athlete Garrett Brooks, and enlists the help of her sweet psychiatrist to try and break it down to the root of it all and if it could have been prevented
But for a girl who is caught in the grey area between right and wrong and reporters circling like vultures everywhere she turns, can she navigate her way through high school, or more importantly, the rest of her life?

Maybe even find out things she had forgotten - and wish she had never remembered. As more and more people enter her life, more and more situations she delves into. An old friend comes back, new friends are made and jealously rises over her. She makes choices that are bad which might make her career and friends just.... disappear. Instead, the two of them keep each other company, and their friendship very quickly escalates into a romantic and intimate relationship. Despite having Mikayla, Jay's troubles continue to burden him. He and Mikayla are fighting habitually, his home life is still unbearable, and his time at school is hardly any better, made worse by a bully named Calvin. Their mutual dislike of one another leads to a lot of hostility, routinely leading to Jay being sent to his school's principal. One confrontation in particular goes much too far, resulting in Jay's expulsion from school. With everything seemingly piling up, Jay is very close to his breaking point, and late one night he is blindsided by the unthinkable, pushing him much too far and effectively planting in his mind a cruel and horrific plan for revenge.Concluida
