"Dude, quit staring at LaRusso's sister."

"I can't help it. She looks good in hockey gear."

"You are so gross, you guys are like, five."

"We're both almost fourteen."

"Yeah, that's gross."

Dahlia LaRusso and Jordan Lawrence didn't care for their brother's rivalry. Both being on the same hockey puts them closer to each other. Despite the warnings they've gotten from their brothers, Dahlia and Jordan just can't seem to stay away from each other, nor can they shake the feelings they have for each other. But what the two kids don't know, is that they're causing even more problems between Daniel and Johnny. Daniel thinks Jordan is just like his brother, an egotistical, arrogant, asshole, and Johnny thinks Dahlia is a wimpy, pussy like her brother. Neither wants their little sibling to hang out with the other. Though, of course, that never stopped them.

"There's a difference between being afraid to lose something you're addicted to," I said my voice rough, "And being afraid of losing something you need." I paused taking a shaky breath, before I added, "And I need you, Galenia." --- Galenia Crytz has always felt at home on the ice, her graceful performances earning her a reputation as one of Canada's brightest young figure skaters. But when she transfers to MSU to chase new opportunities, she doesn't expect to share her sanctuary with the university's rough-and-tumble hockey team-or to clash with their infamously cocky and grumpy captain, Grayson Cole. After a heated argument over rink schedules, Galenia and her team are forced to share practice time with the hockey boys. Tensions run high, but the spark of animosity between Galenia and Grayson soon evolves into something neither of them expected-chemistry. As the pair grow closer, their budding relationship draws criticism from all sides. Galenia's coach warns her to keep her focus, fearing Grayson will become a distraction, while Grayson's teammates accuse him of losing his edge. Meanwhile, Galenia's determination to excel in her upcoming national competition is put to the ultimate test when she finds out her mother has cancer. With their careers and reputations on the line, Galenia and Grayson must decide if their love for each other is worth risking everything they've worked for. Can they find a way to pursue their dreams while staying together, or will the ice between them crack under pressure? #1 Maxim Strbak #1 Maxim

He walks up to me, the girl standing behind him. "Hello Jordan," Gillespie says. He points to the girl. "This little lady here is a new student. I'm gonna have her work with you today, show her the ropes. Behave yourselves." Before I get a chance to protest, Gillespie walks off to check on other people's progress. The girl just stands there, looking at me quizzically. "Um," I say. "Do you have a name?" "Yes," she says, and I'm struck by her accent. I think it's French. "My name is Nicole, Nicole Lavoie." "Interesting. Say, is that a French accent I hear? Are you from Quebec or something?" "Yes, I am, she says. "Montreal, to be exact." "Really? I've always wanted to go there!" "That's awesome. Uh, your name is Jordan, right?" "Yes, yes it is." *** Jordan Devlin is a hockey player, and a good one at that. Although hockey has always been his passion, there is one thing that he hasn't been able to figure out: love. When he suddenly meets a girl he finds incredibly attractive, he is unsure of what to do. What will Jordan do about this girl, now that he finds his life turned upside down? *** "Tell me a bit about yourself. You're the first person here that I've talked to since coming here." "Alright," I say, unsure of what to say next. "I spend a lot of my time playing hockey. That's where I strive to be professionally." "You're a hockey player, huh? Nicole asks excitedly. "What position?" "Centre." "Cool. You do much of anything else?" I shrug. "No. Just a hockey player." "Are you any good?" "How does fifty goals in twenty games sound to you?" Her eyes widen. "That's near impossible, isn't it?" "Apparently not." "That's impressive. Now, let's get to work. The teacher is staring at us." I nod, and we get to work. The whole time, I cannot help but smile stupidly, because Nicole took such an interest in me, and who I am. She seems so full of life, and not one to let it bring her down. I'm beginning to like her already.

There's an old saying that goes, "People say you don't know what you've got till it's gone. But the truth is, you just never thought you'd ever lose it." And that is exactly the case for Ella Walker and Adam Banks. The dynamic duo - the outgoing and friendly soccer star combined with the quiet and gentle hockey prodigy. When a twisted story tears them apart at the end of seventh grade, right after Adam returns from the Junior Goodwill Games, things aren't good for the next two years. Now both being freshmen and having matured, the pair reconnects and discover why their friendship was ruined. They pick up everything up right where they left off, and it's like no time has passed. They explore what it would be like to be more than friends... something they've both wanted to do for years, but were never able to admit. Adam and Ella think they're finally in the clear, with their friendship and their feelings that are impossible to ignore being stronger than ever... until it's the exact same person who comes along and ruins everything again. When the ultimate betrayal happens, things get messy. And the plan that was simply meant for payback ends up leading to even more problems, plus a major grudge. Will this be the end of Adam and Ella's relationship and their friendship as a whole? Or will their friends band together, showing the pair that all they really need... is each other?
