She straightens her stance and forces her eyes open, watching the brown coffee in the air, neither falling nor hitting its intended target, watching everything around her stopped and moving. Almost everything. 

Here he is, the cause of all this, sitting in front of her with his eyes a glowing red and lips pulled up into a mischievous, knowing smile. 

"What are you?" She heaves out through broken breathes. 

"Your worst nightmare or your best blessing. Your choice, sweetheart."
