Danger Mason's world is suddenly full of lies. He's pretty used to hiding, being a warlock has meant being hidden from the outside world. But now his mother is missing, and his life is uprooted to go and live with his father who he's never met. Danger doesn't know who to trust, his father's family is nice enough but his father is denying being his parent. And with clues to his mother's disappearance piling up, Danger begins to suspect that there's more to things than meets the eye. It doesn't help that his father's family is a prolific set of vampire hunters, with a tendency to sympathize with their prey.
