Rooster "Rue" or "Birdie" Blood is the only girl newsie in NY. She lives in the NY lodge with Jake Kelly's group of guys. Every day she sells papers, but that is what she does to get money. In her spare time, she is Medda, her mother figure, but when her brother and sister leave, she has no extra time to run off and not work.

Spot Conlon, the kind of Brooklyn, has no feelings for any girl and never wants to be in a relationship with anyone. But that all changed when he was in Manhattan and saw Rooster Blood walking out of the lodge alongside the newsies. After that, he went up to Jack and asked who she was. After he found that out, he couldn't take his mind off her. She was the reason that he joined the strike. She was the reason he was happy. And she was the reason he found love.

WARNING: Sexual contact, language, sad components, etc.

I do not own the newsie but I do own my characters I makeup and my plot on the story.
