Effort equals results. That's what he had been told. That's all he had been told. They didn't even try considering his position, his lack of power. No, they cared little about that. Efforts equals results? To Yuki, that saying was a dressed up lie, one which had tied him up long enough.
The world was not as simple as everyone of the talented tended to believe. One could train for years on end and archive nothing. That was his life. And when those around him continued saying the same thing years later, he could not help the feeling of rage welling deep within him.
Yuki was even convince they found sick humor tormenting him. Why else were they forcing him to keep pushing onward, considering he couldn't bend to save his life?
Then, they go ahead and place even more responsibility upon his fragile back. That was the final straw. Yuki snaps and decides to escape the hell he had been placed in. He didn't even care that he was leaving his sister behind.
The world had other plans. Before he can leave the Airtemple, he realizes something troubling.
