SUNNY was the golden boy. He performed well in school, he had a mind blowing (no pun intended) imagination, phenomenal artistic ability, and played an instrument.
That all changed on March 25th, 1997.
SUNNY fell into a severe coma. His friends, his younger sister, the people who depended on him to hold their friendship group together, couldn't hold themselves together under the shockwaves of his fate. So, they all grieved, in their own way.
It's June 13th, 2001. And things are going to change in the small town of FARAWAY, which was rocked immensely by what happened to SUNNY, forever again.
Because he's awake now. And can't even remember what he did.
(This is an OMORI age-swap AU. RICOCHET is an ongoing project I'm very passionate about, and is a what-if situation I really wanted to explore. I hope you all enjoy it as much as me.)

!!This fanfic has MAJOR spoilers from Omori!! Kel is entering high school again with his friends. As little time goes on, the feelings he had for Sunny when they were younger had suddenly returned. How will he deal with these feeling? Things that should be kept in mind: This takes place in the point of view of Kel (So it is 1st person POV), this is a modernized alternative of the main story, and these events are taking place after Mari's death in the real world. Warning: there's a bunch of swears, jokes, timeline mistakes, and spelling/gramatical errors. I'm discontinuing this because I'm rewriting this, since it's badly written and I just wanna add things that I can't in this version. Basically what I imagine happens after OMORI. Sunny had told everyone the truth, and now he's seen as being a murderer. Kel is the only one who believes Sunny, and has to figure out how to prove to Aubrey and Hero that Sunny is innocent. Meanwhile, Omori is alive but trapped in the place in Sunny's mind where forgotten memories go, and with each memory he sees he begins to question who he is and if he is still needed. Little does he know, Headspace is in ruin and the only way to save it is to reset it, which only Omori can do. The only problem: Only the Dreamer can bring Omori back. But will the Dreamer even want Omori to return after everything he's done? And if that isn't enough, someone from the past is returning, with only one thing on their mind: revenge. So yeah. This is the first time I've ever written anything this long, but I love OMORI and wanted to write this, because there's TOO MANY questions in the end. So please bear with me. Just so you know, I ship Suntan, so this will have Suntan in it. But even if you don't ship Suntan I hope you still read and enjoy it. One last thing: I got the idea for this after reading Omori: What Comes After by @EpsilonofExcellence so there will be some similarities, but the story is mostly mine.
