East was originally a happy, energetic kid. She loved her mother and father, and she was inseperable from her twin. Ukraine, on the other hand, never knew much about her actual parents, only knowing that her current "guardian", USSR, was just distantly related to her. Ukraine never got much love or attention at home, therefore she wasn't there very much, despite not even being 13 at the time. The two became unlikely friends when they were 5, only growing closer and closer over the years. But suddenly, East's life is turned upside-down when her uncle kills her dad, kidnaps her and West, and then gets his ass handed to him by the allies. She's ripped away from what she believed was the only family she had left, and put into the care of an irresponsible, anger-stricken, alcoholic. The following years were complete agony. However, one thing keeps her going; Ukraine. Despite the awfulness of USSR's household, East and Ukraine could always count on eachother!
...or so they hoped.

Book three of Country Core Series.
From birth, Trinity saw the world differently than her peers. Not that she knew much of her peers in her childhood as she was home-schooled. However, that's all in the past. She has her own business, works hard and all-in-all, she's happy. For the most part, that is. As long as she still has her seclusion for which she has worked hard and values above all else, then she will be fine. If people would just stay away...
Leah has been blind her entire life but never let it hold her back as she embraced it with open arms. She hasn't ever known any differently and life is great. Or at least, it could be with these new changes. Moving to a new town, Leah is excited to begin a new life, but her family isn't exactly shy about their protectiveness of her. If only she could be somewhere, anywhere where people would treat her just as they would anyone else.
As their paths cross, Leah and Trinity's lives are forever changed, some changes for the better and others still up for debate. People can sometimes surprise us in the most exhilarating of ways, however, and they are just about to find out exactly why.
