in which a scientist previously employed at BL/ind accidentally discovers what's really going on in Battery City, and is instantly hunted down for it. after a horrible escape from the authorities, they find themselves in the great unknown, with knowledge that could get them killed; unless they give it to the right people.

of course, being in the great unknown is just a nice way of saying that they're surrounded by sand and Killjoys. and Killjoys don't take kindly to anyone who comes from the industry, it seems.
