She was the conservative girl with a Sheriff for a father and a teacher for a mother. She didn't drink or smoke— she went to church on Sunday, she was passing with all A's. She lives on the beach with her family in a big home with plenty of food and money.

Why would she be depressed?
Why would she be drowning?
Why would she pretend to be happy?

Because that's what she does. She pretends to love life and people. She pretends to be happy to please her parents.

Only one person can see it, Dai Ackerman, the new kid with a disturbing past and too many medical conditions.

He knows her better than she knows herself. And all the usual things happen—girl falls for guy, guy falls for girl. They have fights and make-ups and romantic moments.

But nothing perfect can last.

A perfect love story turns into a tragedy.

A/N: This is really long and sucks but stay tuned for the middle to later chapters the begging is a bunch of exposition and introduction. It will get better. Please read.
