Luke looked down at the girl in front of him, his hands holding her face softly.

All of a sudden, she forgot how they got there. One minute they were hanging out with their friends, the next she was pressed up against the wall with Luke's chest pressed against hers. His breathing was slow, heavy- not that different from her own.

"Why- Why don't you kiss me?" She whispered, her large brown eyes meeting his blue ones.

He closed his eyes, trying not to move or to act on anything rashly.

"Is that what you really want?" Luke mumbled, closing the gap until his lips brushed against hers. He could smell the sweet cherry of the drink she had just finished, all the more enticing.

Weeks of holding back, of trying to protect her, dissipated in front of him. All Luke wanted to do was to melt into her, kiss her until they no longer were two different people. And from what he could tell, she wanted the same.

All he was waiting for, was one word.

Evelyn swallowed, "Yes."

Luke sighed, softly pressing his to hers.
