The Afton family is central to the lore of the "Five Nights at Freddy's" series. The story begins with William Afton, a talented engineer and co-founder of a restaurant chain that features animatronic characters. William met Clara, a kind and supportive woman who later became his wife. The couple got married and settled down, starting a family together. They had three children: Michael, the eldest, who grew up trying to live up to his father's expectations; Chris (often referred to as the "Crying Child" by fans), the sensitive middle child who had a deep fear of the animatronics; and Elizabeth, the youngest, who shared her father's fascination with the animatronics but lacked an understanding of their dangers. As the Afton children grew up, the family dynamic became increasingly strained. Y/N's parents assist in supplying Afton Robotics with minor technical supplies, when Afton finds out that the L/N's have potential in building his new line of animatronics he promotes them to executive technicians. She didn't want to leave her friends, childhood home, etc. But that's not the only con of moving... William Aftons son, Michael. The typical "teenage dirtbag", he and his gang of friends are known to be trouble. After moving into her new home, Y/N thinks that things couldn't get worse; she was in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people. She soon finds out the Aftons live in her neighborhood, they actually live right across from her, Michael Afton was going to be her neighbor. Immediately Michael was a jerk to her, as she expected. The most unexpected thing, he's fallen for her.
