Labag man sa kanyang kalooban, subalit wala pa siyang sapat na kakayahan upang suwayin ang kagustuhan ng kanyang mga magulang. Naiwan naman si Raymart sa bayan dito pinagpatuloy ang kanyang pag-aaral. Umaasa na balang araw ay muli silang magkikita ni Clarence upang tuparin ang pangakong binitawan sa isa't isa. Babalikan pa kaya siya ni Clarence o tuluyan na siyang kalimutan ng dalaga kasabay sa paglimot ng pangako nito? Paano babaguhin ng panahon ang pagmamahalan nila Clarence at Raymart? Gayong against all odds ang kanilang relasyon. Matutupad pa kaya ang pangako sa isa't isa? Or else magiging isang alaala na lamang ang lahat at maiwan na lamang ang bakas ng pagmamahalan nilang iyon sa punong kahoy kung saan nakaukit pa rin ang dalawang puso.
