"ᴡᴇʟᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴄᴀʜʀᴏꜱᴛ, ᴀ ʀᴇɢɪᴏɴ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴠᴀʟᴜᴇꜱ ᴏᴜʀ ʜᴏᴍᴇꜱ, ᴀɴᴅ ᴏᴜʀ ᴘᴏᴋᴇᴍᴏɴ"

Two trainers, twins since birth, have finally turned 12. Their parents have finally decided that they shall be entrusted with their starter Pokemon. This will start their journeys as Pokemon trainers, and ultimately make way for a future champion of Cahrost.

"ʏᴏᴜ ɢᴇᴛ ᴛᴏ ᴄʜᴏᴏꜱᴇ ʙᴇᴛᴡᴇᴇɴ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱᴛᴀʀᴛᴇʀꜱ ꜱᴋɪɴᴅʟᴇ, ꜰᴇʀᴛɪʟɪɴᴇ, ᴀɴᴅ ᴍɪꜱᴛʏᴋᴇ."

Their names are Hugo and Emil, and they are offered by Professor Hawthorn's son, Kazue, the three starters of the Cahrost region. A fire type reptile, a grass type feline, and a water type... a shark-pup?

"ᴍᴇᴇᴛ ᴘᴇᴏᴘʟᴇ ꜰʀᴏᴍ ᴀʀᴏᴜɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴏʀʟᴅ."

From friends to rivals to enemies, they will encounter a lot of people. One of those people is a 13-or-so-year-old traveling trainer named Moriko, who's visiting from their home region: the Kanto region. Her past is quite the impressive one, and her partner is not the typical starter.

"Now come on, let's go!!"
