A standard connection between men across the ages has been their ability to seed bastards; impregnating women across Westeros was a game for valerian-born men. Targaryens, Velaryons, Celtigars, and the Argyris all seemed to challenge each other in who could create more bastards to shame. In this challenge, the lord of the noble house of Argyris, one of the two dragon rider houses of old Valeria to survive, was the winner.

Lord Baesemor Argyris was the winner but also the only one to care for his bastards, either supporting their upbringings or legitimizing them. Only one was legitimized when his lawful wife could not produce an heir.
