After a catastrophic camping ambush, Calira - or Cali as everyone calls her, a flying magical girl, and a ton of children and teens were left stranded in the forest, their tents, camping gear, and food all ashes and gone after the bombs. Many lives were ended. Cali found solace once she found out her friends were still alive, including her beloved, Adrian. However, before she could meet up with Adrian, a flock of shapeshifters whisked the children away to a place. A place no one knew before. Orphanages. They were sent to orphanages. Cali would wait at the front door, waiting for Adrian to be dropped off. But he never showed up. Determined to find her love, Cali abandons her post at the orphanage, against the wills of the Headmistress and Headmasters of the different orphanages linked together by the same program.
But what she finds becomes something more complicated. When she did find Adrian, she soon found out that Adrian had his memories wiped. Cali no longer existed in his mind. She strikes up a deal with Adrian's estranged father and stepmother: If Cali relives the memories of herself in Adrian, everyone can return home where they belong.
