The first book in the Syren series. Part of The Syren Project (est. 2022).
An entirely original sci-fi series.

After a severe and deadly virus outbreak, the planet of Triene is left with a volatile and violent political atmosphere. Following the total, permanent quarantine of their planet, the residents of Triene rise up in a rebellion that leaves tens of thousands more dead, and a large portion of stored resources destroyed.

The calm after the storm comes to rest across the remaining population slowly comes to terms over the destruction. All except the Star Pilots, a group whose profession once reserved the right to navigate the stars, who are now just as trapped as the rest of the planet. Plots arise to escape the atmospheric prison, shared through ancient radio lines across the surface of Triene.

A small farming community in the Poyria Desert stumbles across a recording of some of the traitorous messages, sending the best-suited of their group to investigate the threats and begin the shut-down of the pilots' operation.

Our story follows Caitlin, a chicken farmer, her syren Spyral, and Ly'Ka, the 5'2" scrap merchant who was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, as they make their valiant trip across the desert to put an end to the traitorous plot.

98 parts Complete

After an apocalyptic event that thrusts the world into a new ice age, Calestia - a 17-year-old girl with a strong will - must learn to survive on a land infested with gangs, guns, and distrust. ***** Nobody knows what day it is anymore. Nobody knows the month, the day of the week...and the only way to tell time is by the slight change in the color of the sky from grey to black every twenty-four hours. If a day even is twenty-four hours anymore. The planet is dead. The people are dead. Snow falls down upon piles of bodies like the ash of a volcanic eruption. Except, the snow doesn't stop. It never does. It continues to fall and fall until you wonder if it is even possible for another flake to come down and land silently in your hair. But it does. They do. There are few survivors of what the remaining have started to call the end of the world. The Apocalypse. Few who are still brave or scared of death enough to face the torture that is living. I am one of those survivors. Book One of the Snow Series Highest ranking: #3 in Sci-Fi Watty's Shortlisted
