Morgana woke, gasping in the hallway, lit by flashes of light coming from somewhere beyond the walls, casting long, unsettling shadows. The air felt thick, oppressive, and the silence was almost heavy, pressing down on her chest. The walls pulsed as if echoes were screaming softly, vibrating through the space in a way that seemed almost deliberate. Shadows stretched on every edge, moving with purpose, it felt. She couldn't remember how she had ended up here, or why the weight of the place felt so suffocating, so inescapable.
Restless from the negative energy in the atmosphere, she shifted. Here and there, the lines between waking and nightmare blurred, sending her scrambling for a reality that slipped farther with each heartbeat. She wanted only to wake. She wanted only to escape-escape the never-ending corridors before they closed in over her.
