"You aren't afraid of us, are you?" Cooed the raven haired beauty, smiling down at her eerily.
Trying her best not to give in to the fear that threatened to arise from the depths of her thumping heart, Winona squared her shoulders. "Of course not. Why would I be?" The handsome man above her smirked in amusement. Placing a long, slender finger on her cheek, he began to slide it down her face, ever so slowly. "Because, my little acrobat, we are the clowns of phobia. We thrive off your fear. We thirst for it." He traced his finger sideways along the skin of her neck, stopping just below her ear. "We want to hear your screams as you're devoured by the very thing you fear the most."

In the horror of the second world war, Winona Mennslee is sent away by her father to his friend's son, the owner of an established mansion far away from the reach of war.
However, with the onslaught of strange and frightening events that happen particularly at night, and on a rollercoaster of insanity and self doubt, she begins to realize that the group are no normal citizens.
They are the circus of fear itself.
