A brief glimpse of the relationship between young men and old men; the disconnection between the two; and how they can make amends.
Trenton, NJ is stricken with a certain cultural dichotomy, but that didn't stop J.M.V. from becoming the man he believed he was destined to be. A hustler for most of his young life, he managed to finish school and become a mentor to some of his peers, until part of his destiny took a turn for what many would say was the worst. He didn't know that turn would set him on a most positive journey. He embraced Islam as his religion which grounded him in the fundamentals of manhood; at the same time, equipping him with employable traits that would lead him away from a life of crime. Considering himself an old soul, J.M.V. gravitated toward the older crowds. It was this gravitation that alerted him to the disconnection between older and younger generations. Now it is one of his life's missions - to remove the discord between these two groups. He wishes to mend the problem he calls, "The Breaking of the Cuban Link." He believes that he can do so by solidifying the bond between the old heads and the young heads...
