German nurse Bridgette Keller finds herself newly imprisoned by the SSR after the Hydra base she worked at was stormed by Steve Rogers.
But Bridgette never signed up to be part of the Hydra organisation, and she too is a victim even if no one will believe her.

Making a deal with Colonel Phillips, Bridgette remains as a prisoner of war, but returns working as a nurse for her captors.
What she does not expect is to grow close to the man who should be the enemy...

But before she can get some justice, her life spirals into a crazier direction when one family member comes back to haunt her to her grave. Amongst the mess, the assassin is faced with a difficult decision, and not only that, but she meets Captain America himself. He was a soldier in a general sense. He was regal, tall, strong-even handsome. And a gentleman. He followed the law where she broke it. He dotted his I's and crossed his T's where she wouldn't have cared. But when Audrey meets the golden boy, she doesn't like him. He's too gentle, too much about saving people, and very...patriotic. It will have to be up to her whether she can untangle the mess she got herself into or not. | completed book Cover: my own
