The year 1984 is where this story begins. Katie Harrington, a 19 year old senior at Hawkins High. Katie isn't the brightest crayon in the coloring box, and everyone knew that. She is the cheer captain for her team.

Katie is the most bubbliest, sweetest, prettiest girl to probably ever step foot into Hawkins. She loves to wear the prettiest skirts with the cutest tops. She needs to look perfect, everything needs to be perfect.

Katie works on the school newspaper with Nancy Wheeler and Nancys boyfriend Jonathan Byers. Nancy adores Katie, thinking she is just so precious. Katie is quite good at what she does, helping Nancy write out the story's they put into the news paper.

Although, there is always one person who always catches her eye. Too scared to walk up to him, or talk to him. She just stares from a distance. Little does she know that he does the same thing, too scared to talk to her.

That boy being, Eddie Munson.

"He looks mean."

"She would hate me."

Until, everything changed, forever.
